App updates

New features, improvements and fixes in the spacecommz.io app. Updates are delivered automatically, so there’s nothing to install. The next time you load your space you’ll be on the latest version.

August 2026

Added

  • Delete a space: space admins can now permanently delete a space from Space Admin. Deleting a space also removes its channels, members, groups and talent links, and anyone currently connected is disconnected. You’ll be asked to type the space name to confirm, and the action cannot be undone.

Changed

  • Party lines render more efficiently, keeping larger spaces responsive.

Added

  • Tie Lines: patch a physical audio device straight in and out of a spacecommz.io channel from your browser, no app install required. Two independent tie lines can run at once, each pinnable to the left or right channel of a stereo device so you can carry two mono paths down a single interface. Tie Lines bypass noise reduction, auto-gain and echo cancellation so audio passes through cleanly.
  • Channel icons: assign an icon to a channel or party line to make it easier to identify at a glance. Icons appear both in the channel list and on the space itself, and linked party lines are now marked with a dedicated icon.

  • Mic and speaker tester: check your microphone and speaker are working correctly before you join, with a live audio meter.
  • Space layout editor: arrange your space to suit how you work.
  • Recent spaces: spaces you’ve used recently are saved, so getting back into the right one is quicker.

Fixed

  • The mic and speaker selection modal opens reliably again.
  • Audio meter response slowed down so levels are easier to read.
  • Mic test audio is no longer recorded.

  • Zoom integration talent assignment: assign talent directly within the Zoom integration, with improved handling when participants join and leave.
  • Companion party line control: active party lines can now be driven from Companion.
  • Party line settings are remembered between sessions.
